Installing Accelerated OpenSSL* and Apache* on Linux*: App Note1.0 IntroductionThis application note describes how to patch OpenSSL* to use the OpenBSD/FreeBSD Cryptographic Framework (OCF) engine on Linux*. It then describes how to build an Apache* server on top of OpenSSL to use the OCF engine. Finally it describes tools for benchmarking/stressing OpenSSL and Apache.Information in this document pertains to the Intel® EP80579 Integrated Processor with Intel® QuickAssist Technology. The OCF driver enables OpenSSL to accelerate cryptographic operations using the integrated cryptographic accelerator.Note: This document assumes that the kernel has already been patched for OCF support. Please see the Intel EP80579 Software for Security Applications on Intel QuickAssist Technology for Linux Getting Started Guide for instructions on patching the kernel for OCF.Read the full Installing Accelerated OpenSSL* and Apache* on Linux* Application Note.
